How it started
The Chinatown Soup Tea Club is a natural evolution of what began in 2018, introducing our artist community and curious seekers to Tim's favorite teas at the bar, a colorful space tucked away behind our storefront gallery where artists and visitors intermingle.
Over the years, this shared experience has grown beyond casual tastings into a deeper practice, inspiring a dedicated place to explore tea as an art form and basis for making meaningful connections.

Welcome to the club
We're offering a seasonal tea subscription curated by Timothy Hsu, founder of The Mandarin's Tea Room and in-house Tea Educator here at Chinatown Soup. Each quarter, you'll receive a batch of hand-selected teas — enough of each for two full sessions of Kung Fu-style brewing, a traditional method that pursues tea's full medicinal potential.
Quarterly subscription
A guided tea experience, from our place to yours.
$120 per quarter
Four times a year, three loose leaf teas — 25 grams each, 15–20 brews apiece. Curated together, so the season arrives in one parcel and you brew through it at your own pace.
Enjoy a new tutorial every new moon on our YouTube channel, with Tim on temperature, steep time and what to notice. You'll have the tea in hand before each one goes up.
New subscribers start with the teas from the first two episodes — our introduction to the method. Then you join the quarterly rhythm with us.
Cancelling. Cancel from your account before your next billing date and you won't be charged for the quarter ahead. You'll still receive the quarter you've paid for. Once tea has been packed and shipped it can't be refunded or returned. If you'd like a hand, email us.
