PLEASE KNOCK

Proud curator of the tastefully erotic, Please Knock is honored to present our first fine art exhibition at Chinatown Soup from October 25 - 29, 2022.

The Erotic Art Exhibition from Please Knock features internationally acclaimed artists, where they can display their uncensored work, free from the suffocating censorship of social media restrictions. Unlike television and film, the internet treats all erotic art as pornographic, and its extreme constraints serve to punish creators and erase great art works, as well as stifle the genius of artists who fear stigma and suppression.

We are incredibly proud to feature prominent artists such as Jenna Bouma, known for her work as the world-famous tattooer @slowerblack, whose romantic, nude imagery and bold, black lines are inspired by Western Americana and traditional Japanese eroticism of the Edo and Meiji eras. Argentinian artist Shuriken’s casual pen drawings of cheeky, unfiltered kink are both humorous and pornographic, while queer artist Jeanine Le Claire’s “deviant life drawings” feature gorgeous watercolor paintings of live subjects invited to explore their own fantasies.

Our exhibition features even more uncensored work from both established and emerging artists.

Opening night celebration will also feature a special talk by MakeLoveNotPorn founder Cindy Gallop, whose 2009 TED Talk by the same name was one of the franchise’s most widely discussed presentations.
