Food and drink are tied to a sense of place and belonging. The Cafe at Chinatown Soup is inspired by Carol Goodden and Gordon Matta-Clark, pioneer artists of 1970s SoHo who recognized this synergy and opened FOOD, a social experiment that celebrated creativity and community over consumption. Working with baristas who participate in our residency program and local chefs on a pop-up basis furthers our founding mission to support emerging artists and foster nourishing connections.
We are proud to cultivate Chinese tea culture, traditions, and history.
